The video below is being talked about in my personal circle right now, primarily because the lecturer featured in it, former Harvard researcher Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, talks about many of the same things Ilchi Lee does and that Dahn Yoga and Brain Education are supposed to do for you. What I learned from this entertaining video is what the big difference between the right and left hemispheres of the brain is.
Apparently, the peacefulness and oneness many meditators and yoga practitioners talk about is experienced through the right hemisphere of the brain. The left hemisphere takes care of dissecting and analyzing the world around us in order to compare it to our past experiences and make predictions for the future. Both are necessary. And according to Dr. Bolte Taylor and Ilchi Lee, you can choose which side of the brain you need to use more in each moment.
