It Only Takes a Moment

In many of the lectures I’ve heard Ilchi Lee, founder of Dahn Yoga, give, he will have the audience hold out their arms with their palms down. Then on the count of three, he will have everyone flip their palms up quickly. This demonstration is his way to illustrate how quickly we can change what’s in our brain. He says it’s our choice what we keep in our brains, so in a moment we can change our thinking from negative to positive if we’re really paying attention.

In fact, I’ve heard that’s what he’s said Brain Wave Vibration really is. More than just a technique, it’s really an ability to make our brain waves pure and positive in a moment so that we can create what we want in our lives. The method of creating vibration in our bodies and our brains helps us do that. But anytime during our day when we change course from a pessimistic line of thought to an optimistic one, we are doing Brain Wave Vibration.

Ilchi Lee seems to be not alone in this realization. In his book Happier than God, Neale Donald Walsch writes, “transformation is an instant-moment thing, open to us and available to us in any and every second. Life starts anew when you say it does.”

I think the most important thing to make this “philosophy” true is our confidence in it. If we believe we can raise ourselves out of the dumps in an instant, then we will be able to do it. That’s the amazing power and flexibility of our brains. We just have to decide that it’s something we want and will accept in our lives.

What would happen to the world if we all decided in a moment to be happy today?
