Chakra Healing for Your Everyday Life

Chakra system

In his book Healing Chakra, Dahn Yoga founder Ilchi Lee claims that one cannot solve the problems of body and soul through willpower or discipline alone. It’s only when you use the power of Ki energy to transform the underlying system of the Chakras can you experience a fundamental shift in consciousness. Through ki exercises you can feel the energy in each individual Chakra and awaken the primary body-energy-soul mechanism of life.

Total wellness involves having open, strong, balanced chakras that are full of energy. When they are not healthy in this way, our thoughts, emotions, habits, willpower, organs, and overall health are affected. So if you’re lacking willpower, or tend to be angry a lot, or just can’t seem to generate those positive thoughts everyone tells you to have, take a look at your chakra condition.

Yes, you yourself can feel your own chakras’ condition and then learn exercises to change it. You may need some help at first until you get the hang of it, but then you can be your own chakra caregiver… keeping them clean and shiny and bright. In fact, all of Dahn Yoga exercises are meant to help you do this, even Brain Wave Vibration.

Here is one meditation for healing your chakras to get you started from the Healing Chakra book (which is one of my favorite Ilchi Lee books):

  • Close your eyes and stand or sit comfortably, with your neck and back straight.
  • Visualize a bright, golden sun suspended just above you rhead.
  • Imagine its golden rays showering down on the crown of your head.
  • The lotus flower of the seventh chakra slowly opens its petals, tasting the golden delight of the sun.
  • You feel a tingling sensation on the top of your Baek-hwe (energy/acupressure point at the top of your head), bathed by a shower of golden light.
  • Its warmth moves through your body and reaches your first chakra.
  • A clean line of golden energy forms a pillar of light connecting your seven chakras.
  • Now imagine the sun shining in front of your face…dazzling, yet soft…warm, yet comforting…
  • Feel the light enter your In-dang (entry point of your sixth chakra or third eye), lighting up your eyes.
  • Now feel the energy touch upon your fifth chakra, imparting a feeling of warmth to your neck.
  • Move down the chakra ladder…fourth, third, second, and first…allowing each one to feel the golden light of the sun.
  • Immerse yourself in the field of golden rays as they cleanse and purify every cell, filling you with the pure energy of the universe.
