Last Sunday I participated as staff in the ChunHwa Shim Sung workshop held by the Sedona Dahn Yoga Center. Unlike the regular Shim Sung, this workshop was one day instead of two, and only featured a couple of elements from the other workshop. This was my first time experiencing the ChunHwa Shim Sung workshop, which was just recently developed and distributed by Dahn Yoga founder Ilchi Lee. While like the regular Shim Sung, the ChunHwa Shim Sung opened everyone’s hearts, it also took us one step beyond. I felt it gave a better feeling and idea of what it means to grow one’s soul and achieve spiritual completion, i.e., the concept of ChunHwa. ChunHwa is a way of living and dying that results in a person being fully spiritually conscious and having their souls return to their origin upon death. To do this, Dahn principle says we need to heal ourselves and others in the process, that we need to be “widely benefitting” to the world.
Through the ChunHwa Shim Sung, like all Dahn Yoga/Brain Education workshops, I could feel this concept and principle through my body. Happily for me, my second and third chakras opened more in addition to my heart chakra (fourth). I am very grateful I was able to participate in that experience.
