Shim Sung Training

Have you ever felt that your experience of life was missing an essential element? That there were parts of yourself that you never had the chance to connect with and learn form? Or maybe that your true self was buried beneath layers and layers of personalities that you put on and take off like suits for certain occasions?

There are many people in the modern world that feel the same way. Shim Sung offers a way to reconnect to your inner self. In Korean “Shim” means “mind” or “self.” “Sung” means “true” or “root.” Studying Shim Sung brings you closer to the true, root self that is so easily lost in today’s world.

Shim Sung workshops don’t focus on an intellectualized true self. They don’t approach the importance of reconnecting with your inner self from a logical perspective. Instead, they offer experiential opportunities to truly feel yourself getting in touch with your inner nature. This experience differs greatly from workshops that only talk about the true self. There is nothing compared to the feeling of reconnecting to the inner, true mind.

Shim Sung training use a variety of exercises to help students access their inner minds. Some of the exercises include:

  • Yoga
  • Meditation
  • Games that encourage self-reflection
  • Interacting with other students
  • Physical exercises

Shim Sung training approach each class with the understanding that everyone can benefit from learning how to control the ki energy that runs through their bodies. The workshops offer alternative exercises for those that are physically unable to perform the regular exercises. This allows all participants to focus on their heart center so that they can reap the physical and mental benefits of Shim Sung workshop.
