Grow Younger Blood

Grow Younger Blood is a breakthrough health protocol created by John O'Dowd, Director of the Institute of Longevity. The Grow Younger Blood protocol is so named because you can literally grow younger blood in your body and turn your circulatory health around quickly. Thus, you can prevent and even reverse much of early aging and disease in your body, and be healthier, look and feel years younger, and live better and longer. Heres why: Your blood and circulation affect every part of your body. Your blood provides oxygen, nutrients, and life to every single cell, muscle, tissue, and organ. When your blood is clean, thin, oxygen-rich, nutrient-rich, and your circulation flows freely, your body can function healthily. But when your blood is toxic, thick, oxygen-poor, nutrient-poor, and you also have poor circulation, every part of your body begins to get sick, to age faster, and major diseases begin to occur and grow rapidly. When you transform your blood you transform your health. And thats why this is such a mass appeal product. It appeals and is enormously beneficial to all people worldwide interested in anti-aging, health, and longevity.

Using antioxidants as antiaging agents

While surfing television channels in the past, you may have seen an infomercial by Jack La Lanne that touts the benefits of juicing fruits and vegetables to get optimal nutrition from your foods. La Lanne, a pioneer in the field of health and fitness who's now in his 90s, claims that the secret to his longevity is exercise and drinking plenty of fruit and vegetable juice. La Lanne is a dynamic and inspiring example of how important a healthy diet in combination with a well-balanced exercise program really is to longevity and vitality. Oxidation also occurs in your body as part of the aging process. When oxygen interacts with your cells, it can cause damage. In most cases, your body replaces the cells, but 1 to 2 percent of the cells are damaged in the course of the replacement process, and these cells produce free radicals unstable, highly reactive molecules with unpaired electrons. Free radicals can injure cells and damage DNA, setting the stage for diseases such as cancer....

Partners in Yoga Breath and Postural Movement

In Hatha Yoga, breathing is just as important as the postures, which we describe in Part II. How you breathe when you're moving into, holding, or moving out of any given posture can greatly increase the efficiency and the benefits of your practice. Think of the breath as mileage plus. The more you use breathing consciously, the more mileage you gain for your health and longevity. Here are some basic guidelines

You havent studied yoga

Yogis sometimes say, You're as young as your yoga practice. The saying refers to yoga's rejuvenating qualities and to the fact that practicing yoga is akin to being a newborn, in that you discover anew how to move your body when you practice yoga. Like a baby learning to lift his or her head or roll over, yoga students feel their way into new, more liberating body motions and positions as they practice yoga. Yoga is well known for making people look and feel younger. To some degree, yoga slows down the aging process. Bone mass develops, and you feel more vital and energetic.

Consider How Well Youre Sleeping

According to the National Sleep Foundation (, fewer than half of all Americans sleep long enough or well enough. Sleep deprivation depresses your immune system, increases irritability, and slows your reaction time. Losing sleep can also accelerate the aging process.

Mukhaikapda Paschimottanasana

Paschimottanasana Asana

Along with Janu Sirsasana (Plate 63) and Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana (Plate 66), this asana tones the abdominal organs and keeps them free from sluggishness. We abuse our abdominal organs by over-indulgence or by conforming to social etiquette. Abdominal organs cause a majority of diseases and ancient sages emphasized that their health was essential for longevity, happiness and peace of mind. These forward bending asanas keep the abdominal organs healthy and in trim. Apart from keeping the muscles in shape, they work on the organs as well.

Pranayama Nadi Shodhana Stage

Another related factor is that animals which breathe slowly are also renowned for their longevity. The ancient yogis clearly recognized this fact and recommended slow and deep breathing as a means to achieve not only a long life, but also a calm and relaxed one. From this stabilization it is possible to make progress in yoga.

Yoga Yoga

Yoga is the discipline of the mind, senses and physical body. Yoga helps in the co-ordination and control of the subtle forces within the body. Yoga brings in perfection, peace and everlasting happiness. Yoga can help you in your business and in your daily life. You can have calmness of mind at all times by the practice of Yoga. You can have restful sleep. You can have increased energy, vigour, vitality, longevity and a high standard of health. Yoga transmutes animal nature into divine nature and raises you to the pinnacle of divine glory and splendour.

Pranayama Breathing

In yoga it is said that each person has a fixed number of breaths allocated to him. If one breathes slowly then one will live longer, for the number of breaths is allocated for the lifetime if one breathes rapidly the given number of breaths are used up more quickly resulting in a shorter life span. Whether you accept this idea or not, there is nevertheless a great deal of truth in it. A fast breathing rate is associated with tension, fear, worry, etc. which tends to lead to bad health, unhappiness and of course a shorter life. A person who breathes slowly is relaxed, calm and happy, which is conducive to longevity. A person who breathes quickly tends to inhale small volumes of air and exhale the same small volumes this tends to allow germs to accumulate in the lower areas of the lungs. Conversely, a person who breathes slowly tends to also breathe deeply and thereby fill the lungs to a greater depth. This helps to remove stagnant air from the lower reaches of the lungs and to destroy...

Yoga True and False

The other two categories work with the light borrowed from the third, just named, which consists of a genuinely illuminated class of men. The reason why they sometimes come to the forefront is because the phenomenon of true spiritual efflorescence is extremely rare. Out of thousands of men, says the Bhagavad Gita (vii. 6) hardly one strives for perfection and out of thousands of such seekers hardly one in reality attains to Me (Krishna as the Universal Self). How difficult is the path for which enlightened teachers of the highest calibre are needed is described by Katha-Upanishad (1.3.14) in these words Arise, awake, and learn by approaching the Excellent Ones. The Wise describe the Path to be as impassable as a razor's edge, which when sharpened is difficult to tread on. Because of the fact that human beings in general, are at different stages of development, both intellectual and moral, as they stand on different steps of the ladder of evolution, and have different tendencies and...

Being more beautiful

It's often said that yoga slows the aging process. What yoga really does is to help maintain and improve your posture and general health through exercising and proper breathing. Yoga with weights helps to increase your vitality and overall well-being so you look and feel younger and more beautiful. It can give you self-confidence and poise, increase your self-awareness, and make the light inside you shine more brightly with each decade.

Hints And Cautions

The normal rate of breaths per minute is 15. This rate increases when the body is upset by indigestion, fever, cold and cough, or by emotions like fear, anger or lust. The normal rate of breathing is 21,600 breaths inhaled and exhaled every 24 hours. The yogi measures his span of life not by the number of days, but of breaths. Since breathing is lengthened in pranayama, its practice leads to longevity.
