Partner Yoga Getting Started

In Partner Yoga, you and your partner perform yoga postures together, so that you both obtain the benefits of yoga asanas at the same time. In many common Partner Yoga positions, both partners perform the same posture at the same time. Because both partners are performing yoga asanas at the same time, the positioning and body mechanics of each partner can be more complex than in Partner Assisted Yoga. For this reason, it can be helpful to do Partner Yoga under the guidance of a teacher, who can help both partners enter into the proper positions for each yoga pose.
