Inhaling to a count of four lift your right arm in a halfarc position until your hand is above your right shoulder watching your right hand along the way see Figure b

Draw your belly in and up as you lift the weight, and reach only to a comfortable height. If you can, raise your hand straight up, as the model does in Figure 18-2. The goal it to reach as high as you can without forcing or straining.

Always keep your eyes on the weight you're lifting. This keeps you focused on what you're doing.
